Introduction
WP Job Portal is a job board plugin for WordPress. It runs a careers site for one company, or a job board where many employers post jobs and job seekers apply, from inside your own WordPress site.
Who it is for
Section titled “Who it is for”When you first set it up, WP Job Portal asks what you are building. The choice tailors the admin menus and a few settings, and you can change it later without losing any data.
| Mode | Choose it when |
|---|---|
| Careers & ATS | The only employer on the site is you. You publish your own openings from the admin, receive applications and manage candidates. |
| Job Marketplace | Outside employers post to your site. Companies register, publish their own jobs and reach candidates, while you moderate and can charge for listings. |
Sites upgraded from an older version run in existing-site compatibility until you choose a mode: nothing is hidden and no setting is locked. See Setup wizard.
The free plugin and the paid products
Section titled “The free plugin and the paid products”The free plugin, WP Job Portal, is the whole job board and works on its own. It includes:
- jobs, companies, resumes and applications
- employer and job seeker dashboards
- custom fields, field ordering and an approval workflow
- email templates and notifications
- categories, job types, locations and workplace types
- weekly job alerts, RSS feeds, shortlists, tags, social sharing, Tell a Friend, Copy Job and basic printing
- seven listing widgets and city data for 186 countries
- an importer for WP Job Manager data
Four paid products add to it. Each one needs only the free plugin, not each other.
