URL & SEO

The URL & SEO tab sets which details go into the web address of each job, company and resume page, so the address carries readable words such as the job title and city.

To open it, go to WP Job Portal → Configurations and select URL & SEO. For how the screen works, see System & Site.

URL Structure

Section titled “URL Structure”

Configure the URL structure (permalinks) for detail pages.

Each option is a tag builder. The tags in use sit at the top, in the order they appear in the address. Available Tags below them lists the ones you can add.

  1. Select an available tag to add it to the end of the structure.
  2. Select the X on a tag in use to remove it.
  3. To change the order, remove tags and add them back in the order you want.
  4. Select Save Changes.
Option What it does Available tags Default
Job Detail URL Structure The details used in a job page’s address. title, company, category, location, jobtype [title][company][location]
Company Detail URL Structure The details used in a company page’s address. name, category, location [name][location]
Resume Detail URL Structure The details used in a resume page’s address. title, category, location [title][location]

The chosen details are joined with hyphens. location uses the city names. For jobs, only the first five tags are used.
